A Qmatic, Wavetec or Q-nomy alternative without special hardware
Qmatic, Wavetec and Q-nomy sell licences with hardware, quoted on request. QR Wait needs no special hardware: the queue runs in visitors' phone browsers, and any tablet or TV can serve as the kiosk and the display.
The first 250 tickets are free, no credit card needed.

What the models mean for you
Hardware
No ticket machine or display to buy. The panel runs on any tablet or phone, a tablet becomes a kiosk with an optional 58 or 80 mm receipt printer, and any TV with a browser shows the calls.
Contracts and setup fees
No annual contract, no deployment fee and no cancellation fee. Unused tickets stay on your balance.
When another app may fit better
- You need on-premise software, integration with existing hardware or a vendor service contract.
- You need SMS or WhatsApp notifications: QR Wait notifies only through Web Push.
- You want a native app from an app store for staff or visitors.
- You want kiosks and displays supplied and installed by the vendor.
Questions
- Many queues are seasonal or run for events. Tickets that never expire mean you pay for the visitors you actually serve, not for the months in between.
- Each new entry in a queue uses one ticket, however many people are in the group: a QR join, a kiosk number or one the attendant adds.
- From each vendor's public pricing page, checked in October 2026. Only published prices are listed; vendors that quote on request are marked as not published.
