Let the phone do the waiting.
QR Wait is a virtual queue for places where people wait: beaches and pools, piers, service desks, events, restaurants and clinics. Visitors scan a QR code, follow their place on their phone and come back when it's their turn.
How it started
QR Wait started on September 28, 2026 as a sunbed queue for beaches: visitors scanned a QR code at the entrance and waited in the shade instead of at the gate. Restaurants, events and service desks followed within days, and on September 30, 2026 the service took the name it has today.
Today it runs in 16 languages, with a TV display, a kiosk, appointments, teams and an API, all in the browser. The changelog lists every step with its date.
What we promise
No app for visitors
Joining happens in the phone's browser. Nobody has to download anything or create an account to wait in line.
Fair by design
A rotating QR code and an optional location check keep people from joining from home or from a shared screenshot; one phone holds one place.
Nobody left out
The attendant adds visitors without a phone with one tap, or a tablet kiosk prints them a number.
Privacy first
Statistics are counts only. A visitor's location is never stored, only the distance, and every queue entry is deleted 24 hours after joining at the latest.
Pay for what you use
No subscription: the first 1000 tickets are free and ticket packs never expire, so a seasonal venue doesn't pay for the quiet months.
How it's built
QR Wait runs on Cloudflare's network: each queue is a small server of its own, close to its visitors. Changes reach phones at once over a live connection, and notifications go out as Web Push.
The attendant panel, the TV display and the kiosk open in a browser, so any phone, tablet or TV with a browser will do. There is no software to install and no device to buy.
In 16 languages
Visitor pages open in the phone's language; the attendant panel, the admin, the TV display and this site speak all 16.
